A Libyan airliner carrying 104 travelers and crew from South Africa crashed this morning while trying to land in Tripoli, and a Dutch child is the only known survivor, officials said.
At least 96 bodies have been recovered from the plane’s smoldering wreckage, Libya’s transport minister, Mohammed Ali Zaidan, told reporters from several news agencies. He said a 10-year-old Dutch boy survived the crash, but he didn’t comment on any other survivors. Investigators are still on the scene.
