Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Has Gained More Than $13M Revenue

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, a video game that focuses on mental health issues and was developed by Ninja Theory, has garnered an immense revenue of $13 million in just the first three months of its release since August 8, 2017.

Hellblade is a fantasy video game with a cinematic dark and psychological horror action-adventure concentration. The said video game is set to be compatible with both PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Microsoft Windows platforms.

Ninja Theory revealed that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has already passed its 500,000 sales target in just three months. This has exceeded the developers’ expectation and set goals of the game. In fact, it has recorded more than $13 million in revenue.

Ninja Theory through an in-depth video prided itself on the game’s unique and special development methods. At first, the game was expected to touch a little controversy because of its main hub – mental health issues. Yet, with strong and further research on such, the developers have distinctively brought light on administering core on a sensitive topic like mental health.

Like many other newly released games, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’s players also encountered several bugs that temporarily kept them from progressing in the game. To offer a fix, Ninja Theory offered updated patches. Other concerns and issues about the game even led to incremental sales.

As of this writing, Hellblade has $13 million in revenue and still counting. Ninja Theory was just expecting to reach their sales target in a nine-month mark, yet the game did it in just three. The reception of the game has been nothing but great for its developers.

As part of the overwhelming record of Hellblade, the game had 75,000 people who preordered. Ninja Theory, on the other hand, spent some of the sales money on its digital marketing campaign to further promote the game.

Ninja Theory shows a lot of advantage for Hellblade as they have the full control of the game’s key creative aspect and its commercial backbone.

Hellblade is applauded for rightfully and effectively handling an implausible subject matter. The developers are also admired to have conceptualized a very engaging and well-thought video game plot.

Hellblade concentrates on Sensua’s battle against her illness and how she can possibly come to closure with it. In the game’s process, she progresses and finds the strength to eventually resolve issues within herself and reconcile with her past.

Hellblade made a lot of positive reactions among the players because of its relatable game plot that understands the struggle and conflicts people face through challenging times.

Ninja Theory has not yet revealed any new Hellblade updates and other improvements. But they claimed that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has made history as one, if not the most, sought-after video game developed by them.
