iPhone X Review

Apple brought a major change in the design with iPhone X in their 10th anniversary. I will say definitely say it is fresh air for all the apple fans. But after so many months of release, does iPhone X still stand high on its ground? Let us together find an answer for it.

The Stunning Display

Apple has brought a major change in design and looks of the iPhones by introducing bezel-less design, where edges of the screen literary melt away and offer an all-screen experience. With the full-wide screen comes the top-notch of the phone, which is a hot-topic of debate (even after months of its release). People find it distracting with notification bar nearly unavailable. But it just takes some time to get used to it (as we do with all new things).

When the phone was released, nearly no app supported the full display. Now many apps do, but still, there are apps which do not allow the full-screen display. The notch also at times feels like breaking down the video, especially while watching on Netflix or YouTube.

The OLED display of this 5.8 inches overcomes the notch debate. The razor-sharp resolution of 2,436 x 1,125pixels (458 pixels per inch) and the vibrant colors will keep your eyes locked to it. The true tone still exists as iPhone 8 and iPad, which adjusts the screen’s tint as per the lighting condition you are in to make it more readable.

Another noticeable feature is the vertical camera position on the glass rear of the iPhone X. The cameras and only the apple logo on the back make the design to sleek and perfect.

Gesture-Based Speedy iOS

iPhone X

It uses A11 bionic processor (same as iPhone 8 and 8 Plus), which surpasses nearly all the phones available on performance levels.

The home button is now replaced with gestures. There are quite a few gestures for going back to home screen or checking for the recently used applications; there is an elongated bar at the bottom for these operations. While there are many other shortcut keys and gestures for others, which makes handling this phone super easy.

Great Camera

It features a dual camera with a 12-megapixel wide angle lens primary camera with f/1.8 and the second camera with a f/2.4 aperture for wider pictures. This makes the rear camera an absolute stealer over the iPhone 8 and 8 plus. The portrait mode adds a blur in the background for giving you a picture of DSLR quality, which also allows you to take pictures in different studio background lightings. The best part of this camera is its quick processing and nearly no shutter time.

Battery Life

The battery life of iPhone X depends on what you are doing on the phone. With general use like taking pictures, browsing the internet, using apps, etc., the phone’s battery will last the whole day with even 25-30% remaining at the end of the day. But if you are streaming music and an hour of Google Maps will leave your battery drained before the day ends. When the battery is concerned iPhone 8 Plus beats this phone. This phone also allows the wireless charging feature.

If you should buy it?

You should if you are an Apple fan. The new technology with the latest design and the OLED display is the reasons why you should go for it. The only drawback with this phone is its high price.
