Cardi B Leads Nominees for 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards

This year, Cardi B has earned the most nominations as the nominees have officially been announced for the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards. She joins other famous rap artists like Drake and Megan Thee Stallion.

You will surely feel wowed with Cardi B as her name popped up nine times in the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards nominees list. First, the 29-year-old “I Like It” rapper got the nod as a Hip Hop Artist of the Year contender.

Cardi B is also vying for the Hustler of the Year and Best Live Performer awards. In the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards, the Mom-of-two also has the chance to bag the Song of the Year accolade for her two songs.

One of them is “WAP,” which is her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion and produced by Keyz and Ayo. The “Money” singer’s other work nominated for the Song of the Year prize category is “Up,” which DJ Swanqo, Yung Dza, and Sean Island produced.

You will not believe it, but Cardi B is also nominated twice under the Best Hip Hop Video category for these two songs. “Wap” also got the nod for the Best Collaboration prize in the upcoming 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Finally, Cardi B’s “Type Shit” with Migos got the nomination for the awards category Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse. As you can see, New York City-born and raised Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, who became an Internet celebrity via achieving fame on Instagram and Vine, really worked hard last year, landing her these much-coveted nominations.

You can find the verdict at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards ceremony on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in northwest Atlanta, Georgia.
