Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria Parker released a joint statement Tuesday regarding a lawsuit filed against “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry by their former castmate Nicollette Sheridan
The four women said collectively, “It would be irresponsible of us to let the public believe that being a part of this show from its inception has been anything but a blessing. We have no first-hand knowledge of what Nicollette may or may not have experienced, but we would never characterize our set as a hostile environment. It is, in fact, the opposite. The friendships and support that Marc Cherry, the cast, the crew and the producers have shared for the past six years have made this a wonderful job that we are grateful for every day.”
Sheridan filed the suit against Cherry last week, claiming he struck her across the head and face while on the set of the hit ABC show. Sheridan claims that once she reported the alleged incident to ABC, Cherry arranged for her to be terminated from the show. Sheridan is suing for wrongful termination, and assault and battery, among other claims.
