Nick Cannon Is New York’s Newest Radio Host

It seems that San Diego, CA’s native son, Nick Cannon is coming up smellin like a big bouquet of roses; I guess just being a television host, ex-teen heartthrob, oh… and Mr. Mariah Carey, just aren’t enough titles for Mr. Cannon. He’s not able to add the title of radio host to the list.

To start the new year off right, on January 19, Nick will become the weekday morning host from 6-10am on WXRK (92.3 FM), also known as 92.3 Now.

Along with Nick, are also other top names in the biz to hit it big on the airwaves include Ryan Seacrest, Carson Daly, Billy Bush, D.L. Hughley and Steve Harvey.

For the last year or so, Cannon has been the host of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and he’s also the chairman of TeenNick for Nickelodeon Studios.

WXRK has gone without a morning host since it launched its own top-40 format early this year, leading to speculation that parent CBS was waiting until it could hire a big enough gun to give Z-100 a fight.

He’s got a lot going on right now including a holiday stint as the host for the Disney Christmas Parade that will air on ABC next week, and he’s also just recently launched his multimedia company, NCredible Entertainment that consists of a record label and TV/film development branches.
