TNT, the Time Warner-owned cable entertainment network, which markets itself as a drama destination, issued a statement late Thursday saying it was shocked — shocked — to have discovered that Tracy Morgan is, in fact, Tracy Morgan and is going to behave like Tracy Morgan when he appears on one of their live talk shows.
Last night, before the start of its Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks game telecast, TNT thought it would be a great idea to have “30 Rock” co-star/”SNL” alum/loose cannon comic Tracy Morgan appear on its pre-game show, hosted by Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley. In the course of his appearance, some of the “Inside the NBA” hosts asked Morgan to settle “their” argument: Tina Fey or Sarah Palin? — Fey, “30 Rock’s” creator, having famously parodied the former Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential candidate on “Saturday Night Live.”
