Lenovo Tab 4 10 – Budget Friendly Tablet With Decent Specs

The latest tablet from Lenovo is a modest takeaway. The 10 inch Lenovo 4 features some decent specs and it fits in your budget. The tablet is for those who are looking for a bigger screen and wish you use it around the house to watch movies, browse the internet or simply to play games in leisure times. Here is our take away from the device.

Design

It features a non-glass back, it is sort of jaggy but not exactly rough. The volume and power buttons are placed on the left. There is a micro-USB port, 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot towards the right. It measures 247 x 170 x 8.5 mm in dimensions and weighs 503 g. The Lenovo 4 10 may not be glossy and very attractive, but it has a decent subtle design.

Display

Lenovo Tab 4 10

It has a 10.1 inch LCD IPS Multitouch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The resolution offered by Lenovo 4 is actually the same for its 8-inch tab too.  The colors are not bad as it features the IPS display. The whites, blues, reds and blacks look fine to the eyes even when the brightness was at its maximum.

Hardware

The Lenovo 4 10 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 @ 1.0GHz along with a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto128 GB.

Software

The tablet runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Lenovo has not added any extra company software, so this device runs pure Android. There are three applications though that they have installed – Lenovo TAB410, SYNCit and SHAREit. If you are not using the apps, you can uninstall SYNCit and SHAREit, but Lenovo TAB410 can just be disabled.

Camera

The company did not concentrate much on the camera because it is meant for using and not clicking pictures. The rear camera is a 5-megapixel lens while the front camera has a 2-megapixel camera.

Battery

Lenovo 4 10 features a 7000 mAh battery which will last you for at least 20 hours continuously. You can browse, watch videos and play games the entire day and still have some fuel left. The battery is quite reliable and once charged will last you almost two days considering we don’t use the tablet for 20 continuous hours.

Final Verdict

It is a good tablet which lets you enjoy a bigger screen while you are not using your smartphone. It has an exceptional battery and the performance is good if not great. You can also give it to your children as it has a Kids Mode in which there is a pre-installed app store, browser, games app and a camera. There are some decent parental controls for those who would like their children not to visit certain websites. It may have a few bumps here and there such as the screen attracting a lot of fingerprints, but is a surely a good purchase if you are considering buying a budgeted tablet.
