It has been a decade since the legendary singer, dancer and songwriter Michael Jackson died yet allegations against him continue to surface. However, Michael Jackson’s old and close friend Diana Ross defended him by tweeting,
“This is what’s on my heart this morning. I believe and trust that Michael Jackson was and is A magnificent incredible force to me and to many others.
STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE.”
There were many who supported Ross but there many who criticized her tweet. There were many harsh tweets where people said that she did not know the true Michael Jackson. She probably knew the Michael Jackson that loved and cared for her but she was unaware about his actions – a user tweeted.
Michael Jackson’s family and estate denied all the allegations against him.
Diana Ross’ tweet came after the documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’ was released not many days back and has been aired both in UK and America. The documentary is a part of series which has been helmed under the direction of British director Dan Reed. It features Wade Robson and James Safechuck who were the alleged victims of sexual abuse by Michael Jackson. Wade and James were kids and teens when they were abused sexually, according to them. The two said that they and their families were showered with expensive gifts and other favors by the late King of Pop.
Safechuk had first met Michael Jackson when the two starred together in an advertisement for Pepsi and at that time Safechuk was just 8. Safechuk revealed that the abuse began when he was 10 and lasted till he was 14. Robson met Michael when he was 5 and had won a dance competition. He says Jackson began sexually abusing him when he was 10 and it lasted till he was 14.
Both the alleged victims had filed a suit earlier, but the lawsuits were dismissed.
