Megan Fox has opened up about her personal struggle with pregnancy loss in her newly released book of poetry. The two pieces that touch on her personal experience, identified as “i” and “ii,” appear at the conclusion of her book, which she has titled “Pretty Boys are Poisonous.”
In the second poem, “ii,” the actress known for her role in “Transformers” recounts the emotional journey of sensing a “heartbeat” only to confront the heartbreak of parting, as per the written verses.
Fox discussed how she and her partner, musician Machine Gun Kelly, supported each other during their time of grief during a conversation on GMA that took place on Tuesday. She explained that this was a new kind of heartache for her, as someone who already has three children, and it was a challenging experience for them both. The ordeal launched them into a tumultuous period, both together and individually, as they sought to understand the loss and its implications.
Megan Fox is a mother to three children with actor Brian Austin Green of “Beverly Hills 90210” fame, whom she married in 2010. Their marriage ended in 2022, although they had parted ways in 2020. It was during that year she began her relationship with Kelly, and their engagement followed in 2022.
Fox’s poetry collection is described in its official summary as a “heartbreaking and dark” compilation of over 70 poems. She expressed in the interview from Tuesday that while some of the poetry employs metaphorical language, none of it is entirely fictional. She confirmed that each poem stems from her real-life experiences.
