
September 8th turned into a sad day as the world broadcasted the news of Queen Elizabeth’s passing. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed at the age of 96 after having reigned for 70 years. Many have come to pay their respects – from regular citizens to people in the entertainment industry. Almost everyone agreed that Her Majesty was truly a remarkable woman.
The list included the famous all-women group Spice Girls, the list of celebrities who paid their respects. Four of its members posted how they remembered The Queen on their personal Instagram accounts.
Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) said it was a sad day for the entire world. She also said that she would never forget the loyalty and service that Her Majesty showed when she lived. She added that her thoughts are with the royal family during this challenging time.
Mel B (Scary Spice) also posted a photo of the group meeting Her Majesty on her Instagram. She also expressed her sadness over the news and that she is privileged to have received her MBE as the Women’s Aid’s patron from the Queen herself. She also said she was glad that Queen Elizabeth II was their Queen.
Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) extended her comfort to the family of the Queen as they lost a mother, grandmother, and aunt. She also said that the Queen was the image of elegance and dignity, and she will never forget those qualities.
Lastly, Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) posted pictures of the Queen in a collage during Her Majesty’s different phases. She stated the Queen would always be in their hearts as she was always by everyone’s side. She also added that Her Majesty can now rest in peace.
Mel C was the only member of the Spice Girls who did not post on her social media.
