The latest Hollywood celebrity to have lost their home to the California fires is Gerard Butler. The 300 lead actor posted a story of him touring what was left of his home, on his Instagram page where he sarcastically welcomes his fans into what was once his Malibu abode.
Although his house was not spared from the wildfires, the Tomorrow Never Dies star still took the time to thank and honor the fire fighters and emergency responders who worked really hard to do everything they could. He also added a link to a page where donations are being accepted for the victims of the Woolsey fire.
The fire started on November 8, and has taken a total of 9 lives, and a climbing number of houses, currently estimated to be at around 180 homes.
Other celebrities who have lost their homes include Robin Thicke who had a house in Malibu. He stated that nothing was saved from his home but his cars and many of his personal belongings were spared from the wrath of the fire. He also expressed his sincere gratitude towards those who toiled to ensure that the fires didn’t take more away from its victims.
The singer and his family were some of the first people to be evacuated and for that he thanked the authorities in charge that made the evacuation process a success. The authorities have released warnings to those who still have not left their homes in the areas of Malibu, West Hills, Topanga, Calabasas, and Agoura.
The reports say that a total of up to 250,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes. Among those who were forced to evacuate are celebrities like the Kardashians namely, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe. Lady Gaga also posted a video on social media as she evacuated her home.
