New Song by Eminem and Skylar Grey Tops Spotify US and World Charts

If you recently watched the superhero movie “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” you must have felt wowed after listening to “Last One Standing,” which is  Eminem and Skylar Grey’s song for the film.

You are not alone, as many fans of these artists helped make their track debut at the number one spot of Spotify’s Top Song Debuts in the United States. Plus, the “Last One Standing” tune by Eminem and Skylar Grey debuted on Spotify’s Top Global Song Debuts chart’s number one position.

This feat is truly impressive, and you may say that Holly Brook Hafermann, also known as Skylar Grey, and Marshall Bruce Mathers III both deserve it. The duo also worked with other artists like  Mozzy and Polo G in making the “Last One Standing” song possible.

On the last week of September, Eminem and Skylar Grey unveiled their collaborative new track with Mozzy and Polo G, ahead of the “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” premiere last Friday, October 1. You can hear Skylar leading the single with grounding vocals while Eminem, Mozzy, and Polo G take turns dropping bars in support.

The two other rappers took the mic first before Slim Shady commanded the third verse of the “Last One Standing” track. Early this week, before you learned about this fantastic news involving your favorite Eminem and Skylar Grey, you can remember that Marshall Bruce Mathers III released the official remix version of the “Venom” song, which is a rework of his track for the 2018 superhero movie of the same title.

This remixed song is a production of D.A. Got That Dope, and Eminem released it yesterday, Tuesday, October 5, as the Side B tune for the “Last One Standing” single. If you have not seen “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” yet and are interested because of Eminem and Skylar Grey’s collaborative song, you should watch it soon.

“Venom: Let There Be Carnage” is a sequel to the 2018 original “Venom” film. This 2021 Andy Serkis-directed Hollywood movie sees Tom Hardy coming back as journalist Eddie Brock with an alien symbiote living inside him.

Plus, you will see that “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” focuses on a conflict between Venom, Brock’s alien counterpart, and Cletus Kasady, or Carnage. The latter is the villain in the film, played by Hollywood movie star Woody Harrelson.
