After dating for just two months, and bring engaged for less than four months, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are rumored to be getting married before the year ends. This comes after reports that the celebrity couple have already obtained a wedding license.
Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers boy band and Baywatch actress, Priyanka Chopra have been reported to already have the legal side of the wedding in place. The singer and his family were also in India, where Chopra is from, to meet Chopra’s family. They also intend to have their first wedding in India this December before getting married in the US.
The beauty queen, now 36, had her bridal shower in New York City at Tiffany & Co. with her celebrity friends including Lupita Nyong’o and Kelly Ripa. Her future sister-in-law, Sophie Turner was also present.
Chopra was seen wearing a Marchessa gown designed by the ex-wife of Harvey Weinstein, Georgina Chapman. This dress caused a stir as people supporting the MeToo movement found offense in Chopra’s choice of wardrobe. They believe she could have been more sensitive and chose a different designer.
To this the actress responded that it is unfair to judge a woman by the actions of the man she was once married to and that Chapman did not deserve any of the backlash she received for being involved with the man.
Chapman separated from the accused sexual predator as soon as the allegations of non-consensual sex and assault became public. Only 60 women have come forward to accuse Weinstein of sexual misconduct including rape but the number is believed to be even greater.
She further defended her choice of designer by saying that Chapman was a friend of hers and that the dress she had designed was beautiful and that was reason enough to wear it.
