Angelina Jolie is set to make people aware about violence against women in war-stricken areas
On 28th of December actress Angelina Jolie will make a guest appearance at BBC radio where she will talk over the refugee crisis around the world. In the show, Angelina will invite people who fled away from war zones and will focus more on acts of violence against females. Angelina Jolie’s spokesperson told the media that the actress is looking forward to be a part of the radio show. The spokesperson further told that the actress has started to work with the producers of the show.
Angelina’s spokesperson told that the actress is feeling grateful to be a part of such global crisis as she wants to make people aware about the inhumane situations in the war affected parts of the world. In recent times, actress Angelina Jolie has become a leading activist, who is advocating for women and refugees who are living in the war-stricken areas of the globe. The 43-year-old actress is working as a special envoy to UNHCR. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees works to protect refugees and communities which are displaced with force in war-stricken areas around the world.
UNHCR also provides assistant to such people so that they can live easily in a safe environment. Before Angelina, several other celebrities had edited the show in the past viz. Carrey Mulligan, Yoko Ono, Damon Albarn, and Prince Harry. Back in 2016 when Angelina was editing one of the other Radio 4 shows, she shared her grief of losing her mother to breast cancer. Marcheline Bertrand, Angelina’s mother, got succumbed to cancer in 2007.
The radio also has many other shows under its sleeves for 1st of January 2019. Radio producers have planned to organize an interview session between Paul McCartney and Gary Barlow. Gary Barlow is a leader to famous British band, named Take That.
