GLENDALE, Arizona – A juicy hint was dropped when Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan signed a Captain America shield of a Marvel Cinematic Universe fan. According to the Instagram photo posted showing the signed blue and red shield, Captain America actor Chris Evans wrote “Cap Nomad” under his signature. On the other hand, Sebastian Stan, who is playing as Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier, signed “Winter Soldier, I’m with NOMAD” under his autograph. Stan’s message has an arrow pointing at Chris Evan’s signature.
The picture of the signed shield was posted to Instagram by Mary Schulte, who was present at the ACE ComicCon in Glendale, Arizona. Stoked fans commented on the Instagram photo amazed and excited about the upcoming MCU movie. One person asked if the signs are personalized messages from both actors or if they just dropped the bomb on their own. The Falcon’s signature is also visible in the post. However, the spotlight was grabbed by Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan’s message.
The commotion about the message is all about the theory of Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, playing a persona called Nomad on the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. Nomad is an identity of Steve Rogers which was developed when he became disillusioned with the government he had sworn to fight for and protect. This means leaving the Captain America shield and fighting for crimes with a whole new reason. It can be recalled that the identity of Nomad was short-lived and has only four issues.
The theories are also supported by the unveiling of Avengers: Infinity War trailer wherein Steve Rogers can be seen wearing a torn Captain America suit. Fans also claimed that his growing beard suggests exile for having negative encounters with the government for his childhood friend’s sake.
Because of the hints dropped, fans all over the world are guessing that the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, would be bound to adopt the Nomad personality eventually in the awaited Avengers: Infinity Wars. It can also be recalled that at the end of Captain America: Civil War, Steve Rogers let go of his shield which suggests that he chose his childhood friend, Bucky, over the government he defended. Moreover, Iron Man led the government side on Captain America: Civil War, which created sides between Bucky and Steve versus the government.
Marvel Cinematic Universe cannot stop serving its fans with two Avengers movie shot back-to-back –Avengers: The Infinity War and Avengers 4. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo tweeted a creative MCU cake last Thursday which suggests that the Avengers 4 has wrapped shooting.
Other skeptical fans also speculate that the hint dropped under their signature might also just be a pun played by Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan to shake things up. Many stars from both Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy will be present in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie such as Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, and many more. Avengers: Infinity War will be jam-packed with stars and will be released in the United States on May 4, 2018, and in the United Kingdom on April 27, 2018.
